It’s been a year since the first “Classic Dine Around” launched, with monthly line-ups of some of the region’s most beautiful Classic Cars attending specially curated breakfasts, luncheons and dinners.
After Casa, ODEON, Brasserie Boulud, Ergo Cocktail Bar & Restaurant and CMP, the crew of 50 petrol heads will ride together to Bella Restaurant, for an Italian tasting menu imagined by award-winning Chef Alessandro Miceli on March 11.
The Classic Dine Around was created by food lovers and classic car aficionados Anne Wencélius and Ihab Ahmad, after competing in the UAE’s first 1000 Miglia Experience, also known as the Chopard Trophy. “We met a lot of wonderful people on that legendary regularity race and were eager to catch up more than once a year at 1000 Miglia,” explains Ihab Ahmad. “Since we both love food and cars, we decided to combine both passions equally,” continues Anne Wencélius.
Indeed, the Classic Dine Around never compromises on its standards of excellence, featuring only the most beautiful over-30-years-old cars and attending restaurants that offer an outstanding cuisine at a very special “CDA” price (usually AED200 per menu including one welcome drink).
The event is not restricted to classic car owners and the team is happy to welcome all people of taste, with the possibility of joining by messaging on their social @classicdinearound. There will be two more gatherings before the summer starts and driving season is over: for an Iftar and a breakfast, dates to be confirmed.
