SANS SOUCI LIGHTS UP THE PRESIDENTIAL SUITE

SANS SOUCI LIGHTS UP THE PRESIDENTIAL SUITE

Unique light installations illuminate luxurious Mandarin Oriental, Luzern

London Architectural Photography

LUZERN, August 2022: Sans Souci, unveils its latest bespoke landmark project in Luzern, Switzerland. The Mandarin Oriental Palace project consists of two bold and bespoke installations that seamlessly integrate with the belle époque landmark right in the heart of Switzerland. Sans Souci incorporated their best-loved signature collections, BOWLS and FROZEN, whilst tailoring formations, colours and coatings to complement the interiors.

The stunning project was inspired to elevate the already marvellous interior of the presidential suite, by combining contemporary elegance with a touch of Swiss heritage. The vision encompassed an innovative style, that complemented the concept of bringing old school elegance back to Europe. The building’s breathtaking views and location encouraged the theme and ambiance of the newly renovated suite.

Sans Souci coordinated with Jestico + Whiles on the designs of the lighting instalments with this theme in mind. The two fixtures are made of complex glass and crafted into intriguing geometrical shapes, to establish unique light dispersion at night. One of the most striking centrepieces integrates the handmade FROZEN collection and is designed to mimic icy snowflakes falling to the ground, creating a dramatic luxurious flow.

“It is always an honor to work on such an iconic project where spirit of the past meets with the present and future. Both collections and its colour combinations were selected and designed to complement the space,” commented Jiří Krišica, Head of Design, Sans Souci. We hope that guests will have the most pleasant experience.

The Mandarin Oriental Palace is one of the most recent installations of their bespoke collection and one of the many international landmark projects outside of the UAE.
