United Arab Emirates, Dubai, 20 February 2025: Global Village, the region’s premier multicultural family destination for entertainment, dining, shopping, and attractions, delighted guests with the celebration of the vibrant Emirati tradition, Hag Al Leila. Held for the first time in the destination,families and children came together in the spirit of the Holy Month, embracing the rich Emirati culture as they joyfully counted down to Ramadan through moments of connection, tradition and togetherness.
The four-day activation left guests of all ages with memorable experiences that will last for a lifetime. Stepping into the heart of an authentic Emirati ambiance, guests were transported to a world of rich tradition where every corner was filled with heritage-inspired workshops, local treats, lively entertainment and plenty of delicious sweets. The setting captivated the senses, adorned with celebratory decor, woven mats, cosy majlis seating and lanterns, creating a truly immersive experience unlike any other.
The destination’s young guests enjoyed meeting with Global Village’s beloved characters, The Wonderers, and received unique Hag Al Leila gift pouches from elderly women at the activation. Kids also expressed their inner creativity by engaging in fun arts and crafts workshops and traditional games, an activity that fosters a tribute for Emirati traditions.
This event is aligned with the UAE’s Year of Community and reflects Global Village’s deep appreciation for Emirati culture while reinforcing and celebrating diverse cultural traditions from across the globe.
