Medley Restaurant prepares to host Chronicles of Ceylon 2.0 at Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre, from 22 – 24 November, for a three-day festival reveling in Sri Lankan food and culture

Dubai, 30 October 2024 – Get ready to be transported to the vibrant flavors of Sri Lanka as Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre announces Chronicles of Ceylon 2.0. Following the remarkable success of its debut in 2023, this exciting culinary festival will take place from 22nd to 24th November 2024 at the Medley Restaurant. Experience an unparalleled celebration that merges the best of Sri Lankan cuisine, entertainment, and culture.

Under the expert guidance of Chef Roziro Mathias and Chef Dammika Herath, Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre’s talented culinary team has meticulously crafted an extensive menu featuring dishes from five prominent Sri Lankan cities: Colombo, Galle, Kandy, Jaffna, and Anuradhapura.

Joining this year’s festival is Chef Thushara Innasithamby, the founder of My Sister’s Kitchen from Sri Lanka, who will represent the north-eastern region of the country. Chef Thushara will showcase her culinary expertise with a dedicated corner featuring signature dishes like Mutton Paal Poriyal and Paraw Red Fish Curry. Expect homemade flavors from the north-east that promise to deliver an unforgettable dining experience, beautifully blending tradition and taste.

Adding to the culinary lineup is celebrated food enthusiast Ruzaina Hadgie, an ambassador for Sri Lankan cuisine. Ruzaina infuses her dishes with vibrant Malay flavors, featuring creations such as Beef Rendang Satay and Fiery Fried Beef Sambol, enriching the offerings at Chronicles of Ceylon 2.0.

Guests will embark on a culinary journey through Sri Lanka’s major cities, each presenting a unique gastronomic landscape. With over 70 dishes across salads, starters, main courses, and desserts, the carefully curated menu pays tribute to each city’s distinct cuisine, incorporating ingredients that promote holistic wellness and highlight Ceylon’s diverse cultural heritage.

Savor the rich and spicy flavors of Colombo, the bold crab curry from Jaffna, the robust venison black curry from Anuradhapura, and the deep, smoky chicken Kalupol Maluwa from Kandy—all designed to transport diners from Dubai to the lush hillside cities of Sri Lanka.

Speaking about Chronicles of Ceylon 2.0, Laura Nicli, Hotel Manager at Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre, remarked: “We are honored to host an event that celebrates Sri Lanka’s heritage and traditions through a culinary journey while engaging with our local and international visitors. The immense interest and success of last year’s inaugural event led us to revive this series for another year. There is a clear desire for new experiences among UAE residents and tourists. We look forward to catering not only to food enthusiasts but also to those seeking a rich cultural experience. Medley perfectly blends Chef Roziro and Dammika’s delicious traditional recipes with nutritional value and cultural significance.”
